Course Description

This course will focus our cultural study on Cuba, Puerto Rico and The Dominican Republic. We will learn the historical and political events that formed these Caribbean islands and their postcolonial relationship and dependency with western powers. With the study of historic events, literature, and art, students will be able to form their own opinions regarding the realities of these regions.
