BIO100 - Introduction to Biology General: Books

This guide provides access to resources recommended for research in Biology.

Some friendly reminders

The Oliver Wendell Holmes Library, the OWHL, has electronic access to many digital books and videos. Most of the printed resources in the sciences remain in the Garver room and can be found in the 300s, 500s, and 600s. Our printed books in these Dewey classes are not currently available via browsing the stacks. Therefore, it is very important to rely on the NOBLE catalog and our digital resources. Since most scientific information you will be looking for has been published in refereed, scientific journals and magazines, having the printed books unavailable won't be a problem for you. Get to know those databases that can uncover science information for you.

There are many resources in the OWHL covering science information. The most important is your research librarian. There are several on staff to help you through your projects. They are available when ever the library is open.
