The Oliver Wendell Holmes Library (OWHL) is currently under renovation for the next 15 to 18 months. The new OWHL is expected to open its doors during August of 2020 in time for the Fall term.
The OWHL's collection is now located in the Smith Center and much of it is on shrink-wrapped pallets for the duration. The 300s and 900s are on shelves and are retrievable. However, instant access to the materials is not available as they were in the old space. One will have to place a hold or tell a librarian of your need. Library staff members will retrieve the materials a couple of times each day. Materials that don't fall within the Social Sciences or History will be borrowed from our NOBLE consortia member libraries or will be requested via interlibrary loan. Getting the material in time for your research means requesting items as soon as possible.
