HSS 100 - Historical Figures & Biography: Introduction & Reference Sources

Welcome to the Historical Figures OWHL Guide

Welcome to the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library and the History 100 OWHL Guide.

Below is a list of reference sources available in the Garver Room and online to help you get started on your research.

Remember, when researching a historical figure, you won't just be looking for information about one person. The person you are researching will have had relationships and interactions with other people: friends, enemies, children, parents, siblings, military personnel, philosophers, and so on. Make sure you find information about those people as well to broaden your understanding.

If you have any questions, please see one of the librarians at the Help Desk!
