BIO600 - Molecular and Cellular Biology - Laboratory Research: Protocols

Designed for use by Dr. Kemp's BIO600 class

About

Experimental procedures can be found in many different kinds of scientific literature. The journal literature briefly describe the methods used in an experiment but frequently not detailed enough to reproduce the experiment precisely. Protocols and methods describe experiments in detail. This type of information can be found in journals, books, and dissertations. Specific titles contain only this type of information and need to be searched for outside of regularly searched databases.

Finding an appropriate protocol or method can save a great deal of time in your own research procedures.
