OWHL Scholars Program: Application

APPLICATION COMPONENTS

There are three components to the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library (OWHL) Scholars Program.  All applicants must:

  • complete this form by 5:00 PM on September 25, 2023; 

  • submit a project proposal through the application; and

  • participate in an interview.

APPLICATION STEPS

APPLICATION FORM 

All applicants must submit this form by 5:00 PM on September 25, 2023. This form includes a section where you can submit your project proposal. There are lengthy questions that you need to answer when completing this form. Please review and read through the form ahead of time.

PROJECT PROPOSAL 

All applicants must submit a project proposal with their application. Your project proposal must include:  

  • your name;  

  • your project's proposed title;  

  • a 500-word abstract describing the scope of your project, the research you plan to do, and an idea of what your final product will be;  

  • and five preliminary sources that have informed your project. 

We encourage you to contact an OWHL Scholars Mentor via email or in person to discuss your plan. 

INTERVIEW 

All finalists will be interviewed by the selection committee before becoming an OWHL Scholar.
